Our Finnish team is growing, and we are now looking for additional member.

Wesmans survey team provide a range of surveys and consultancy services to marine and cargo insurers, Logistics providers, Shipping companies, Manufacturing industry, Oil and gas industry, Ports and terminals and Authorities.

We are looking for a dedicated Surveyor to our team in Helsinki, Finland, but also welcome applicants who live in other parts of the country.

Required skills and capabilities

• Knowledge of and an interest to develop within the Marine Insurance Industry

• Knowledge of the maritime, transport and/or logistic sector

• Technical understanding

• Accurate and efficient

• Service minded

• Structured and efficient as a person and with good administrative skills

• Clear communication and language skills in both Finnish and English, both orally and in writing

• Valid Driving license

• Proactive and self-driven

• Willingness to always learn and share knowledge with colleagues and clients

• Deck / Engine officer (min Class D4 / M4) or technical background with documented experience in similar positions may compensate for formal education

Key responsibilities:

• Attend surveys throughout Finland and sometimes abroad

• Liaise with Principals and timely reporting

• Be a team player working closely with all Wesmans departments in Finland and abroad
